At the Niseko Grand Hirafu Ski & Snowboard School, we cater to everyone from complete ski and snowboard beginners to advanced riders with a number of lessons for kids and seniors and programs that allow you to experience skiing in powder snow, go hiking with a guide, and experience nature, plus much more.
Our programs enjoy a great reputation. We offer nature programs in addition to bright-and-early powder skiing or snowboarding lessons. With our kids lesson area, complete with a magic carpet lift, kids can now be even safer and more efficient as they enjoy their lessons.
In our lessons, we help our students improve in a safe and fun environment on different runs full of variety, on snow that people say is the best in the world.

Lift Ticket Set

Lift tickets are included in Lesson fees during lesson times for those in the first time class. For other participants, discounted lift tickets valid for their lessons are sold at the ski school. Please buy them when you apply.
500 yen for a half-day pass, 1,000 yen for a day pass.

Discounts for lessons on consecutive days

Great discounts are avilable for lessons on consecutive days.

Eqipment rental discount

Rental discounts are available at our rental shop if you take lessons.

Discounts for hotel guests

Guests at the Hotel Niseko Alpen or the Niseko Kogen Hotel.

Booking and Cancellation
  • The meeting place may differ depending on lesson program. Please confirm the details below.
    • Customers may select the meeting place for Private Lessons, Guided Tour, and Lessons on Fresh Track Powder. At the time of reservation, please select between in front of Hotel Niseko Alpen Ski School, or Grand Hirafu Mountain Center Ski School in front of Grand Hirafu Gondola Station.
    • Kids Group Lessons, Junior Group Lessons, and Nature Programs will meet at the Grand Hirafu Mountain Center Ski School in front of Hirafu Gondola Station. Also, when signing up at the in front of Hotel Niseko Alpen Ski School at least 30 minutes before lesson start times, instructors will lead children to the Grand Hirafu Mountain Center Ski School in front of Hirafu Gondola Station.
  • When taking lessons, please sign up at the respective school by 30 minutes before the lesson start time. The school may cancel your lessons in case of last-minute or late arrivals. If you will be late, please be certain to contact the school.
  • For children of elementary school age or younger enrolled in lessons, we ask that guardians come to pick up their children at the meeting place at the lesson finish time. If you will be late to pick up your children, please be certain to contact the school.
  • The cancellation fee is 50% of the lesson fee if made the day before the lesson. 100% cancellation fee on the day of the lesson or for no-shows.
  • Due to weather or other conditions, it may not be possible to hold scheduled lessons. In this case, no cancellation fees will be charged.
  • If you should have any medical conditions, food allergies for lessons with lunch included, or any other health concerns, please be certain to inform us when applying for lessons.
  • Participants who reserve lessons across multiple continuing days may have different instructors each day.Please understand on this matter.
Safety
  • Please be aware of the dangers of snow sports or activities in natural environments, and obey the ski area rules and regulations.
  • During lessons, please wear appropriate snow sportswear top and bottom, hat, goggles or sunglasses, and gloves.
  • For safety, our ski school recommends wearing helmets, especially for children.
